Attendance:
π Athletes who attend at least 3 practices during the week may pick up a candy prize at the Thursday evening or Friday morning practice! Please sign the attendance binder on the pavilion table for credit.
Be prepared:
Please do your best to arrive on time with your swimmers ready for practice. Practices begin with stretching on the pool deck before entering the water. Goggles are encouraged, swimming caps are optional. At the start of the season, the water can be chilly (especially at morning practices), so consider bringing a hoodie or bath robe with their towel, to warm up.
First couple of weeks:
Please be patient with our coaches and volunteer parent board as we work any kinks out in these first couple of weeks. Our goal is to ensure our kids' safety and comfort in the pool. For new or beginner swimmers, please allow coaches to evaluate their safety and skill to determine which lane is best for them. These first two weeks are important for gaining confidence in the water as well as learning the routine of swimming on a team.
Kiddie Pool:
If you bring a small child to practice, the kiddie pool will be open, but the child MUST be supervised by a parent at all times. The kiddie pools will NOT be open during meets.
Communications:
Please visit our website for practice and meet schedules. Weather related updates will be sent via email and our team Facebook page. If you have questions, please email our volunteer parent board at monticellokillerwhales@
π Here's to the start of another fun swim season! We look forward to watching your athletes grow and improve but more importantly, have fun!
